Job Description:
Saint Therese, a multi-campus, non-profit, spiritual based health care organization, has an internship opportunity in the development, marketing and communications department. The department raises dollars that help fund vital care, housing and programs for seniors who live at Saint Therese of New Hope and Saint Therese at Oxbow Lake. With this, the department also leads marketing, media and advertising efforts for the entire organization.



Qualifications:
•Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Graphic design-related experience a plus.
•Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, donors and community members
•Excellent writing skills
•Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, multi-task and see projects through completion
•Willingness to work as part of a team and independently
•Obtaining degree in communications-related field
Major Responsibilities:
•Assist program staff with marketing materials/ print needs, including brochures or fliers, ensuring that Saint Therese marketing and branding standards are met
•Assist with gala auction organization—follow up on solicited items and track donations
•Event planning and general administrative support pertaining to events
•Assist in the maintenance of Web site and social media sites (training provided)
•Assist in planning, researching and composing copy for various communication pieces
•Assist with other projects as assigned by the development, marketing and communications team




Basic Function:
Saint Therese seeks a driven individual to promote Saint Therese programs and services through internal and external communications and to assist with media relation and fundraising efforts. Efforts may include assistance with the annual fundraising gala, the Associate Dinner, other fundraising appeals and event planning, copywriting, print management and more.

Time commitment: 12-16 hours per week. Flexible schedule but availability during morning or afternoon office hours is highly preferred. Opportunity begins in late August/early September and continues through mid-December.
