1964

Gordon Mycue, Elizabeth Hidding, Sr. Marcelline Jung, OSB, & Jerry Choromanski create the vision for Saint Therese; a board of directors is established and approval received from the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis

1968

Mary Zepp, Saint Therese of New Hope’s first resident, moved in on January 9

1979

Senior apartments, an innovative concept at the time, opened adjacent to the New Hope care center

1980-1985

Saint Therese Southwest opened as a co-op for seniors; today it is a separately managed nonprofit organization

2002

Saint Therese of New Hope opened an assisted living program allowing tenants to stay independent as long as possible and a dementia care unit offering a comfortable, safe environment for memory care residents

2003

Saint Therese of New Hope opened the first palliative care unit in the Midwest; designed to provide comfort both to residents and loved ones

2006

Saint Therese at Oxbow Lake opened, offering senior, assisted living and memory care apartments; expanding the organization into Brooklyn Park

2011

Saint Therese at St. Odilia opened, offering hospice and palliative care in Shoreview

2012

  • Saint Therese at Oxbow Lake expanded its continuum of care with the addition of transitional and long-term care suites
  • Saint Therese purchased a home health care company to serve individuals in their own home
  • Saint Therese rehabilitation and therapy services expanded into its own division called Saint Therese Rehab (STR)

2016

  • Transitional Care by Saint Therese opened on the fourth floor of North Memorial Medical Center
  • Saint Therese of Woodbury, a full continuum of care community, opened; expanding Saint Therese’s care and communities into the east metro
  • Saint Therese’s home health care integrated with Lifesprk

2017

The Redwoods apartments to open at Saint Therese of Woodbury
