Local Senior Care Organization Celebrates Grand Opening in the East Metro

Saint Therese of Woodbury hosts grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting.

Woodbury, Minn., September 16, 2016—Saint Therese, a faith-based senior care and housing organization, hosted a grand opening celebration for the Saint Therese of Woodbury campus on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 7555 Bailey Road, Woodbury.

Saint Therese of Woodbury celebrated the grand opening of its senior care community. The celebration began with a prayer service presided by Archbishop Bernard A. Hebda, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Following the service, Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce members, Woodbury city representatives and project partners, as well as Saint Therese staff and board members participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony. Tenants, family members, friends of Saint Therese and community members joined in the celebration with self-guided tours, refreshments and music.

Saint Therese believes in a continuum of care model, meaning that, whenever possible seniors should receive a comprehensive array of health care services on a single campus. The community includes one and two-bedroom apartments as well as assisted living and memory care apartments with a variety of amenities and services. Private skilled nursing care suites for long-term and transitional care are also available where residents live within a neighborhood setting. The living options are connected by a town center with conveniences such as a chapel, movie theater, bistro, beauty/barber shop and state-of-the-art wellness and rehab center.

“Saint Therese is grateful for the city of Woodbury, the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce and all others who worked hard to make this project a reality and have provided a warm welcome to Saint Therese,” said Barb Rode, Saint Therese President & CEO.

Saint Therese is a nonprofit faith-based organization that has focused on the well-being of individuals since it opened in 1968.
