Youth Volunteer Scholarship

Recognizing youth volunteers serving older adults. 

Saint Therese is grateful for the many youth volunteers who make a difference in the lives of older adults on our campuses and in the community. We would like to recognize these dedicated individuals through this scholarship program with a $2,000 educational scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

Anyone between 15 and 18 years of age as of January 13, 2017, who has gone above and beyond to help an older adult or adults (relative or non-relative) is eligible to participate. Applicants must have volunteered a total of twenty hours or more in a senior care facility or in the community raking leaves, doing household chores, playing cards or games, grocery shopping, shoveling snow, etc. Volunteer hours may have been completed any time before the submission deadline. Previous applicants who have not received a scholarship award in the past are encouraged to apply again. Scholarship recipients from previous years are not eligible for another scholarship and will not be considered. Two, $2,000 educational scholarships will be awarded.
